Sliced Fruits and Vegetables


If you want to go on a diet, the best fillers to trick your body into thinking that you are full are fruits and vegetables. They are all natural, healthy, and filling but they are not fattening.

We also need them because of their nutrients, the water, and the fiber that they can provide so that our bodies will work efficiently.

To reduce our calorie intake daily, we should opt to snack on sliced vegetables like cucumber, carrots, and celery. As for fruits, we can have sliced apples, pears, and watermelon. These are all high in fiber and guaranteed to make us feel full but will not gain weight.

I have read somewhere that we should have a ready pack of sliced fruits and vegetables in our refrigerator so that whenever we are hungry, that is the first thing that we will see on the ref. So instead of reaching out to something unhealthy, we will first see this and munch on them.

While the thought behind this may be good, it is not good for the vegetables and fruits. Much of the nutrients in these natural foods will be lost when you wash and slice them. And if you expose them in the refrigerator for a long time, you would not be able to determine how much nutrients are already lost.

So maybe the best thing to do is to put these healthy foods out in front of the refrigerator and just grab them when you are hungry. It will not be too much to wash and peel really.
